Pockets of Green is a not-for-proft social enterprise. The organisation was established in 2023 by likeminded, passionate friends who work in the development industry and no longer wanted to see vacant sites in their home city of Melbourne go to waste.

PRIORITY 1: PROTECT

Work with stakeholders to fast-track the response to climate change, improving tree canopy, increasing native vegetation, reduce urban heat and protect local biodiversity.

PRIORITY 2: INCLUDE

Add truly inclusive amenity to a city that Connects with Country and is accessible by people of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and abilities.

PRIORITY 3: RECOVER

Kick start economic recovery post-COVID, support local retailers, attract and retain workers, create new jobs and provide training opportunities for young people.
